There are a few different factors to consider when purchasing one of our kits. We make recommendations based off of three questions:
What is your budget?
Do you use the truck to tow?
Do you use the truck for performance or off-road driving?
Our first option is the airdelete.com conversion kit. This is a good choice for customers who want brand new parts and mostly use their truck for average everyday driving. This is our in house branded kit.
Our second option is the Bilstein Conversion Kit. This kit is best for those who have a higher budget and who want the absolute best ride possible. We also recommend this kit to those who are towing often or those who use their truck off-road but are not interested in purchasing a lift kit. This kit comes with multiple front ride height options. For those who tow often, we usually recommend to keep the front ride height at stock or +0.7". If you only tow light loads, +1.4" would be acceptable. Trucks are designed from Ram to come with the rear suspension about 2.5" higher than the front to accommodate any load from a trailer or payload in the box without the nose of the truck pointing in the air. If you order the 2.1" level and then tow heavy trailers, you will likely end up with the nose of the truck pointing upwards during towing (which is not desirable for handling or for night driving). The 2.1" leveling kit height is appropriate for those customers who want the best aesthetics possible, but do not tow or load the box with weight often.
Please note that if you tow on a semi-regular basis, you should strongly consider choosing the +35% spring upgrade. The stock Ram rear coils are known to be softer than expected from the factory and do not handle weight well. The +35% coils are an excellent choice to fix this.
Front ride height is a personal choice based on your own usage and you will need to decide what is right for you. The front struts are adjustable even after your purchase, but they will need to be removed from the vehicle, compressed using a commercial grade strut compressor, reinstalled and a wheel alignment must be performed. If you need assistance choosing a ride height, please give us a call and we would be happy to help
Our third option is the 3" lift kit. This is recommended for our customers who intend to install larger tires and use their truck off-road. This kit comes in 2 versions - the Bilstein version uses a rear coil spacer. The Eibach 3" lift is our premium 3" lift and comes with a longer coil for the rear rather than a spacer, and offers slightly improved ride quality.
Our final option is the 4" or 6" lift kits. These conversion & lift kits use out Bilstein 5100 conversion kit along with Zone Offroad lift components.
